  1. I have been told that some of my male Ancestors were married to French Quebec Indian women. How do I find out?

  2. This is part of Ancestry.com, an organization that got 90% of its records FREE from people who had submitted them to RootsWeb. Their search engines are notoriously screwed up, you get a list of thousands of people when you search for one. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to their results. Fold3, being a part of Ancestry.com, SHOULD be free to Ancestry’s users, but it is just another gimmick to get more money from users. I wrote e-mails and letters to Ancestry complaining about search engines but NEVER received an answer. Their object is to make money, period. They have no obligation to help you find your ancestors and you will find just as much, and maybe more, through the LDS search sight. My advice: Stay away from it. Rates will keep going up and service will keep going down.
